Family photography for me is an opportunity for create and document memories that they last in time.
Some years ago I was taking some family portraits, and from the beginning I noticed the distance between the dad and the rest of the family. It was almost like he was a foreigner, but then, the day when I show their slideshow of the family pictures, the dad start crying (he was a Mexican country man, the kind one that you think who will never show his emotions). Right after he came close to me and he just said thank you. His history was like many others; he migrated years ago to the United states to work and send money to his family and he just comes back one or two times per year. He was grateful to me, because for the first time he felt as part of his family. After that I understood the power of the family photography and I decided to document the love stories of the people’s life.
